Biography

Welcome to my world!

I am so grateful for your interest in my work.  My younger self dreamed of becoming a National Geographic photographer. After graduating from the Art Institute of Chicago with a focus on photography,  I've lived multiple careers, and each one has shaped me into a better artist in so many ways. It’s been an Alice-in-Wonderland-esque journey back to photography, a path that found me once again.

The universe has gifted me once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. One of the most unexpected and awe-inspiring experiences has been traveling to the ends of the Earth—Antarctica—which quickly became one of my favorite adventures.

Beyond my travels and the images I capture, I’m passionate about fashion photography, portraiture, experimenting with lighting, creating studio sets with flash photography, and bringing experimental ideas to life. I strive to capture the essence of my subjects.

In addition to my work in nature and studio photography, I continue to create portfolios of conservation awareness.

My self-portraits aim to tell personal stories in abstract ways, leaving the interpretation up to the viewer. I truly love all aspects of photography, from the gear to the creative process, and I refuse to box myself into one category.

For me, doing so would stifle the limitless possibilities of this art form.

The renowned photographer Sean Tucker once put my mind at ease in a YouTube video when he said, “Photograph what makes you happy, ignore the label makers and gatekeepers.” His words resonated deeply with me.

My first book as a child was Alice in Wonderland, and to this day, it remains my favorite. What a journey it’s been down this rabbit hole of life and photography. Like the caterpillar’s iconic question, “Who...are...you?” I know I’ll never have a definitive answer. And honestly, I don’t want one. That whisper keeps me curious, ever learning, always traveling, and forever seeking beauty and the most wonderful adventures.
